Pictorial and photographic REFLECTIONS

I. PICTORIAL. WE ALL HAVE A DOUBLE LIFE: THE WORLD OF DREAMS AND DESIRES. To terms with reality and this DOUBLE LIFE SOMETIMES CAN SERVE AS EVASION. The landscape painting is posed by the problem of representation: the reality is sometimes the result of a painterly effect that links thematic, historical, geographical. Also the landscape is able to represent yourself from the individual perception, because the great natural art gallery goes beyond the framework of the landscape itself represented. My paintings have much to do with the territories where you stand, with the scenery that flows in your environment, closer or more distant in memory of those who internalize, what we remember, what was contemplated, and especially what you feel. This is what appears in the creative process. Throughout this process not only involved the artistic element or contemplative, but of action, that is, participation in the natural setting, even with the senses: seeing, smelling, touching and hearing, feeling hot and cold rain and wind, the breeze and calm. Taking nature as a reference point, I see color and light, feeling that trying to get try to interpret what I feel and want. Holding on to the natural reality, I do not shrink from the inspirations that I produce. Van Gogh as "the most beautiful pictures are those who dream." Hodërlin stated that "man is a god when he dreams and a beggar when he thinks." In this dream I extract the essence, imagination, experiences, and the residue of the experience. For these reasons, the meaning of my work leans more to do with the landscape of "The Picos de Europa", memories of youth, with their peaks and snowfields perpetual, deep holes, stunning gorges, by the serene beauty to contemplate these atmospheric vibrations of the first rays of sun breaking hieratic figures of the rock, too human for that light to the glow of the sunset in towers and edges that take us to a magical world, and that other artists in a splendid shape as Carlos de Haes, Fco Nuñez Losada, Fco Nuñez de Celis, E. Garralda, as well as favorite mountain painters: A. Bierdstadt, J. Singer Sargent, A. Calame, E. Compton, Robert Wood, Thomas Moran etc. "WORK IN THE DARK, WE AS POSSIBLE, SO WE CAN GIVE. OUR DOUBTS ARE OUR PASSION AND OUR PASSION OUR COMMITMENT. ELSE IS THE MADNESS OF ART. (Quote from Henry James)

II .- PHOTO. Painting and photography are disciplines that have little to do in themselves, but both share something very important, which is the "search." both are two ways to investigate, one with a technical component and a spiritual. Hence, much of the contemporary painters we are also engaged in this activity, based on applying technique of looking lot, and especially to see, trying to capture the appearance of reality and then transform and achieve the desired effect. Photographed directly without alterations, but always with a dual purpose. Ask lots, view and select few, this is the task, but the effort and enjoyment in looking for that magical moment worth it if you get what you propose, photographs with a touch of mystery, and more to show the things suggested and that includes having the freedom to interpret them. I am currently involved in a series of images that I call "photo-fusion" looking at them the charm of light, covering urban issues, streets, monuments, interior design, architecture and so unique. Also person-jes, trying to perceive "the decisive moment" as the great photographer Cartier-Bresson.
